The year is 1876, and there's something strange and deadly loose in Philadelphia...
Eleanor Fitt has a lot to worry about. Her brother has gone missing, her family has fallen on hard times, and her mother is determined to marry her off to any rich young man who walks by. But this is nothing compared to what she's just read in the newspaper-
The Dead are rising in Philadelphia.
And then, in a frightening attack, a zombie delivers a letter to Eleanor...from her brother.
Whoever is controlling the Dead army has taken her brother as well. If Eleanor is going to find him, she'll have to venture into the lab of the notorious Spirit-Hunters, who protect the city from supernatural forces. But as Eleanor spends more time with the Spirit-Hunters, including their maddeningly stubborn yet handsome inventor, Daniel, the situation becomes dire. And now, not only is her reputation on the line, but her very life may hang in the balance.

This isn't a book trailer, but it's a really cool author video that made me want to read this awesome-sounding book!

It starts with a whisper: "It's time for you to know who you are..."
Violet Eden dreads her seventeenth birthday. After all, it's ahrd to get too excited about the day that marks the anniversary of your mother's death. As if that wasn't enough, disturbing dreams haunt her sleep and leave her with very real injuries. There's a dark tattoo weaving its way up her arms that wasn't there before.
Violet is determined to get some answers, but nothing could have prepared her for the truth. The guy she thought she could fall in love with has been keeping his identity a secret: he's only half-human - oh, and same goes for her.
A centuries-old battle between fallen angels and the protectors of humanity has chosen its new warrior. It's a fight Violet doesn't want, but she lives her life by two rules: don't run and don't quit. When angels seek vengeance and humans are the warriors, you could do a lot worse than betting on Violet Eden...(Summary from Goodreads)

I love this video! It's so fascinating to see the creative process involved in creating a book cover! I ADORE book covers! They mean everything to me and my students are the same way when they are looking for books in one of my LMCs. A great cover= a book getting picked up and checked out!
