Can the best thing happen at the worst time? Her dad went crazy. Her mom left town. She has bills to pay and a little sister to look after. Now is not the time for level-headed seventeen-year-old Lucille to fall in love. But love -- messy, inconvenient love -- is what she's about to experience when she falls for Digby Jones, her best friend's brother. With blazing longing that builds to a fever pitch, Estelle Laure's soulful debut will keep readers hooked and hoping until the very last page. (Summary from Goodreads)
It was the cover that grabbed my attention first and then the title is very intriguing. Want to get my hands on it.
Author: Rebecca Podos
Release Date: January 26, 2016
Published by: Balzer & Bray
All Imogene Scott knows of her mother is the bedtime story her father told her as a child. It's the story of how her parents met: he, a forensic pathologist, she, a mysterious woman who came to identify a body. A woman who left Imogene and her father when she was a baby, a woman who was always possessed by a powerful loneliness, a woman who many referred to as troubled waters.
When Imogene is seventeen, her father, now a famous author of medical mysteries, strikes out in the middle of the night and doesn't come back. Neither Imogene's stepmother nor the police know where he could've gone, but Imogene is convinced he's looking for her mother. She decides to put to use the skills she's gleaned from a lifetime of her father's books to track down a woman she's never known, in order to find him and, perhaps, the answer to the question she's carried with her for her entire life. (Summary from Goodreads)

This sounds like a great mystery! I'm in!
What are you waiting on this week?
I want to read TRL also. Great pick!

Both books sounds really good! This Raging Light sounds like my kind of contemporary, I had seen it before but never read the summary, so thanks for sharing! The Mystery of Hollow Places sounds like a great mystery and it's been a while since I read one of those. Great picks! :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, both of these sound really good! I'm going to have to add them to my TBR list. Actually, I think I may already have TRL on my TBR, but I hadn't heard of The Mystery of Hollow Places before. Thanks for sharing! Here's my WoW. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteGreat picks! I'm really looking forward to both of these. I'm especially excited for This Raging Light. I've been hearing some really great things about it.
