Her home planet is filled with violence and corruption at the hands of King Matthias and his wife as they attempt to punish her captors. The king will stop at nothing to get his beloved daughter back-but that's assuming she wants to return at all.
Essie has grown used to being cold. Temperatures on the planet Thanda are always sub-zero, and she fills her days with coding and repairs for the seven loyal drones that run the local mines.
When a mysterious young man named Dane crash-lands near her home, Essie agrees to help the pilot repair his ship. But soon she realizes that Dane's arrival was far from accidental, and she's pulled into the heart of a war she's risked everything to avoid. (Summary from Goodreads)

I know this came out yesterday, but this sci-fi adventure sounds amazing. I love the idea that the author is taking inspiration from Snow White and creating a futuristic twist.
Author: Cassandra Clare, Maureen Johnson,& Sarah Rees Brennan
Release Date: November 11, 2014

Ever wondered about the enigmatic, mysterious warlock Magnus Bane? The only character to appear in every Shadowhunter book, Magnus has a past even more shrouded in mystery than his present. I've teamed up with acclaimed YA writers Maureen Johnson and Sarah Rees Brennan to create Bane Chronicles, the back (and front) story of Magnus told in ten linked stories.
Look for stories like Vampires, Scones and Edmund Herondale; The Rise and Fall of the Hotel Dumort; Saving Raphael Santiago and What To Buy The Shadowhunter Who Has Everything (And Who You're Not Officially Dating Anyway). Each story will be available as an ebook on a monthly basis starting April 16 with the tale of What Happened In Peru.
Each story will be released monthly online for the next ten monnths - and then for those who don't read ebooks, the full print collection will be in bookstores and wherever books are sold after the Chronicles have been finished. (Summary from Goodreads)

I usually like ebooks, but this time I am going to wait for the paper copy I think! Maybe...I don't know. I guess I didn't realize this was really happening and I adore Magnus Bane! He's one of the best characters all steaminess!! Well anyway, Woot! Woot! The kiddos are going to want a copy for the library for sure, so I will be sure to grab one for there! What about you? eBooks? Or paper copies on this one?
What are you waiting on this week?
I've been hearing a few mixed things about Stitching Snow but it does sound unique so I want to give it a try. :)
