Our Week in Books: Anderson's YA Conference Wrap Up!

This is our week in books at Libby Blog!
This feature is not our own original idea and is inspired by so many others that are out there (esp. IMM by The Story Siren and Stacking the Shelves by Tynga's Review) with the goal of sharing our new books and getting to know one another a bit better in the book blogging world. If you have a similar post for the week, please share it in the comments so we can comment back...

All the pretties we bought & got signed...
A Tale Dark & Grimm by Adam Gidwitz (Dutton Juvenile)
In a Glass Grimmly by Adam Gidwitz (Dutton Juvenile)
The Grimm Conclusion by Adam Gidwitz (Dutton Juvenile)
Inhuman by Kat Falls (Scholastic)
To Be Perfectly Honest by Sonya Sones (Simon & Schuster)
All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill (Disney Hyperion)
Proxy by Alex London (Philomel)
Infinityglass by Myra McEntire (EgmontUSA)
On Little Wings by Regina Sirois (Viking Juvenile)
Manhunt: the 12-day chase for Lincon's killer by James L. Swanson (William Morrow)
Second Impact by David Klass & Perri Klass (Farrar, Straus and Giroux)
Just One Day by Gayle Forman (Dutton Juvenile)

Plus, here's some pictures from the day...
The Dystopian Panel
(Left to right: Demitria Lunetta, Michael Grant, Kat Falls, Alex London, Beth Revis, Joelle Charbonneau & D.J. MacHale)

The panel who discussed How Dark Is Too Dark? Is there such a thing?
(Left to right: David Lubar, Adam Gidwitz, Antony John, Cristin Terrill & (not in the picture because I couldn't quite get her from where I was sitting sadly) Christa Desir)

The Digging Up the Dead panel: James Swanson telling us all about his life growing up sharing Abraham Lincoln's birthday, becoming a Washington Man and getting to know just about anyone who's anybody. Just sitting and listening to his stories was FASCINATING  He knows everyone! Plus, he has an amazing collection of Lincoln artifacts. The next book he's planning is going to be on MLK. Very cool.

The Digging Up the Dead panel: Sally Walker teaching us what it's like to tag along with forensic scientists, anthropologists, & archeologists, or to sit and research in a library in Nova Scotia and write while crying for months writing Blizzard of Glass because you wish you could keep the ships from crashing into one another. She was just AMAZING!

Adam Gidwitz doing what he does best...scaring us with a brillantly told, classic fairy tale of old! What a storyteller! WOW! If you are in the New York City area, you have GOT TO get him to come to your school, or public, library! WOW! What a great guy!

What did you get for your libby this week?
