Mercury by Hope Larson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
The current French Hill, Novia Scotia and French Hill, Novia Scotia 1859 weave in and out throughout this story of two girls living their lives a century and a half apart. Josey and Tara's lives are both changed by a curious necklace which can find anythign they seek out.
This was an interesting one. A graphic novel which is a historical fiction and realistic fiction marriage plus a small touch of fantasy. It's interesting that the author wrote the book AND did the illustrations which doesn't seem to happen very often in a graphic novel. I like parallel storylines like this and actually this makes me really want to read Revelution by Jennifer Connelly which has the same parralel storylines happening centuries apart. Try this one and see what you think.
