Amy and Dan Cahill, 2 orphans who have lost everything attend their grandmother's funeral and reading of her will only to be challenged into accepting to be part of a hunt for 39 Clues which will lead to a treasure which will make the owner the most powerful person in the world. The problem? Their other Cahill relatives who are also after the treasure and have formed teams and will fight to the death if needed.
I LOVED this and can't wait to get my hands on the next one! I used to be completely addicted to mysteries (Nancy Drew, Sherlock Holmes, etc.) and this is exactly like those old classics! The best part about this was how it brought in our American history with it. The fact that it's also all about 2 kids is great too.
