Fire by Kristin Cashore

Fire (The Seven Kingdoms Trilogy, #2)Fire by Kristin Cashore

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fire lives in a world of monsters who come in the brightest and most mesmerizing colors out there! Birds, raptors, wolves, mice, cats, bugs and even humans are monsters. As all monsters can on some level, Fire can control the minds of the people and animals around her whether she wants to or not. She also earns the instant scorn or obsessive desire of those around her. Some want her blood and some want her body, while others just want her dead. As Fire's homeland of the Dells is in sad disarray and groups on many sides are after the Royal City and the crown itself, she is asked to do what she has pledged not to because of the legacy her father has left behind himself.
This book literally took over my life and I was unable to put it down until it was done! Although it is the same world as Graceling, it is not the same land and only one of the same characters is in this book. Even though this book technically would take place before Graceling in time, you could still read them in any order at all and be fine.
Enter the land of the Dells, the land of monsters and follow Fire as she makes friends, survives enemies, falls in love and helps guide a nation.
