As yearbook photographer, Harper is responsible for those candid moments that make high school memorable. But her own life is anything but picture perfect. Her parent's bitter divorce left her wondering what a loving relationship looks like. And ever since the senior class voted her and star quarterback Brody; Perfect Couple That Never Was; her friends have been pushing her to ask Brody out.

Brody doesn't lack female admirers, but Harper can't see herself with him. He's confused about the match too. Yet they find themselves drawn together first by curiosity about why the class paired them, then by an undeniable bond.

The trouble is, though they're attracted to each other, they have a hard time getting along or even communicating well. If they're the perfect couple, this shouldn't be so difficult! Soon it becomes clear their class was wrong, and they throw in the towel. But they feel so changed from making the effort, they can't forget each other. What if this match made in hell is the perfect couple after all? (Summary from Goodreads)

I love anything by Echols. She always has an insightful twist that helps her characters learn and grow.

The Handmaid's Tale meets Blood Red Road in Glass Arrow, the story of Aya, who lives with a small group of women on the run from the men who hunt them, men who want to auction off breeding rights to the highest bidder.

In a world where females are scarce and are hunted, then bought and sold at market for their breeding rights, 15-year-old Aya has learned how to hide. With a ragtag bunch of other women and girls, she has successfully avoided capture and eked out a nomadic but free existence in the mountains. But when Aya's luck runs out and she's caught by a group of businessmen on a hunting expedition, fighting to survive takes on a whole new meaning. (Summary from Goodreads)

This reminds me of Orleans by Sherri L. Smith which I ADORED!! It was so hard core and raw! Plus, The Handmaid's Tale left me thinking for months later. If this book can touch either of these at all like this, then WOW...I'm in!

What are you waiting on this week?
