This week’s trailers:

Wake
(Watersong, Book 1)
Author: Amanda Hocking
Release Date: August 7, 2012
Published by: St. Martin's Press

Gorgeous. Fearless. Dangerous. They're the kind of girls you envy; the kind of girls you want to hate. Strangers in town for the summer, Penn, Lexi and Thea have caught everyone's attention - but it's Gemma who's attracted theirs. She's the one they've chosen to be a part of their group.
Gemma seems to have it all - she's carefree, pretty and falling in love with Alex, the boy ext door. He's always been just a friend, but this summer they've taken their relationship to the next level, and now there's no going back. Then one night, Gemma's ordinary life changes forever. She's taking a late night swim under the stars when she finds Penn, Lexi and Thea partying on the cove. They invite her to join them, and the next morning she wakes up on the beach feeling groggy and sick, knowing something is different.
Suddenly Gemma is stronger, faster and more beautiful then ever. But her new powers come with a terrifying price. And as she uncovers the truth, she's forced to choose between staying with those she loves - or entering a new world brimming with dark hungers and unimaginable secrets. (Summary from Goodreads)

The cover on this book is absolutely GORGEOUS when you see it on the shelf at the store! It shimmers and draws you in...just like this book trailer does! I want to know what's going on now. Don't you? I think I'm going to have to check this one out! What do you think? Has anyone read it already?

Seconds Away
(Mickey Bolitar, Book 2)

Author: Harlan Coben
Release Date: September 18, 2012
Published by: Putnam Juvenile

When tragedy strikes close to home, Mickey Bolitar and his loyal new friends - sharp-witted Ema and the adorkably charming Spoon - find themselves at the center of a terrifying mystery involving the shooting of their friend Rachel. Now, not only does Mickey have to continue his quest to uncover the truth about the Abeona Shelter, the Butcher of Lodz and the mysterious death of his father, he needs to figure out who shot Rachel - no matter what it takes.
Mickey has always been ready to sacrifice everything to help the people he loves. But with danger just seconds away, how can he protect them when he's not even sure who - or what - he's protecting them from? (Summary from Goodreads)

This trailer makes me want to jump into Mickey Bolitar's adventure! I'm surprised I have never heard of Shelter (Book 1), but since Rick Riordan compliments the suspense in the novel, I'm sure to love what sounds like an action-packed journey for the main character.
