Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I LOVED this book and can't wait to get a hold of the 2nd one! The future that Collins trusts us into is not a happy one. This world of Hunger Games is a brutal future United States where teenagers from 12-18 are thrown together to fight to the death like the gladiators of our ancient past. Except these "tributes" are watched and listened to 24/7 for the "entertainment" of The Capitol, to the extent that if there isn't enough happening they'll makes something happen. Perhaps dry up the environment killing all food and drying up the water sources and then inviting the tributes to a banquet at dusk. Although having finishing this white-knuckled roller coaster ride of a novel, I have sooo many unanswered questions after reading it that are itching for answers. What will happen next in District 12? Will the Capitol take revenge in some way? We'll see if I have the patience to wait for the book from the pub.libby. I doubt it! ;D
(My most favorite daydream right now is thinking of who would star in the movie! My current favorite for Katniss would be too old, Rhona Mitra, so perhaps someone like Camilla Belle!? Then there's the mother, Peeta, her sister, her friend, the baker and his wife, etc.)
